Jianghe Equipment in Hangzhou was established on base of the Machine Design Institute in Hangzhou under the Ministry of Water Resource and Electric Power in accordance with the policy of specialty reform in China and requirements of domestic and international market. Its earliest predecessor was Machine Design Institute of Hydro Power Construction Bureau under the Ministry of Fuel Industry, which was set up in Shanghai on 1956.

Its tenet is based on science & technology. It is developed by the quality to face the market and to serve the consumer. It is accelerated and combined with scientific research and productivity energetically.

Jianghe Equipment is organized around three major businesses: concrete

batching and mixing plant, crane and handling equipment and hydropower equipment. Now an integrated service system from R&D, design, manufacture, productivity，assembly to commissioning test has been formed.

In recent 50 years, its four projects have gained prizes awarded by the National Conference of Science and Technology; its five projects have gained the National Progress Prizes in Science and Technology; more than 20 projects have gained the Progress Prizes in Science and Technology awarded by the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Electric Power. It has undertaken the design and development work for national major construction projects and key technology and equipment. On three special fields of the large mass concrete batching plants, large scale crane equipment and hydro power generator units under middle and low water head their products are always in the domestic leading levels. More than five hundred products and technical service have been supplied for hundreds projects of water conservancy and hydropower construction, For example the super-large size concrete batching plants and MQ series portal cranes etc. had served for Three Gorges Project and Longtan Hydropower Stations etc. In addition, the concrete batching and mixing plants, gantry cranes and hydropower equipment have been also provided to more than ten countries such as Viet Nam, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sudan, and Ethiopian. The Company enjoys excellent prestige both at home and abroad.
